Ok when i saw this, i predicted i would love it. It looks cute, it was in the horror section, i love that stuff. I was right. I am absolutely in love with this game.
WOW this is an incredibly charming and engaging little game, i love it so much. It was a ton of fun to have to balance all the mechanics while monitoring the farm. Absolutely adore the style and aesthetic, too. With a touch more content and polish I would totally pay for it!
Amazing game. Great concept and art style. Super fun and perfect game length IMO. My only criticism would be to give players more tips/warnings about the monsters. I died to multiple monsters because I did not understand them, which was fine and kind of scary but awesome! But I recommend adding checkpoints or some kind of way to regain a portion of your time spent before you died if you want to keep the mechanics of the monsters a surprise. It was annoying losing all of my progress multiple times because I could not understand how the enemies worked.
So basically, keep the mechanics of each monster a surprise but add a sort of checkpoint system, or give some information about the enemies before it's too late.
The first warning the crow gives you is great! I am not that quick with understanding objectives though, so this may be more on me. Fantastic all around though.
Same like I went into this game blind thinking oo stardew+horror, crow didn't help much had to look on this page to see how to water my plants. But when the crow said hide I ran into my house seeing the bald monster and thought I was safe in my house...NOPE I got grabbed and killed by the black ghost version of myself.
This was so must fun to play. I 100% hate the deer in this game but Larry the skincrawler is fine. love it keep up the great work. Would love to see a DLC to this game or another part to this game.
That would be amazing, i felt that the game has so much opportunity to grow. I am very glad that you are planning to actually make another level. thank you for such an amazing game. keep up with your great work.
Such a fantastic game. I love farming simulators and merging it into a horror game made something relaxing and terrifying at the same time which is insane. Great job!
I Absolutely LOVE This! You Took Something like a farming game and turned it into a Horror with some of my favorite elements. Excellent Work! (PS; Since this was made with unity, how long will it stay "Funded"?)
Had a really great time playing. From one indie dev to another congrats It's a solid game. Would be cool if in the future you added more areas after you fix the boat with different monsters and different methods of gaining money. like you have to fix the boat several times.
This is amazing. I adore the general artstyle, sound design and atmosphere. Generally you make amazing use of limited assets and animations and I love how much potential you've packed into this small game area. What a brilliant idea for a game!
I think like others have said, I probably won't finish it just because I haven't quite sussed out how to avoid the clowns and other monsters successfully, and it feels daunting to start over from the beginning every time. Since you have a "time survived" counter at the end I assume that's also kind of the point, to see how long one can make it, but whilst the game is haunting and successfully scary at night, it's also quite engrossing to progress through and the fun factor is a little lost when that progress is always completely reset. Maybe there could be a checkpoint system of sorts, or otherwise a little more tutorialization around monsters so we don't lose progress so cluelessly early on and have to battle through on trial and error.
The characters, the UI, the scare factor, the farming-feel, the creepy music, all 9/10 though, really really enjoyed it. Great job!
Beat this today!~ I really liked it! I think once you "get" what's happening and how things work it's not too hard thankfully. :D I love the sound design, art and general ambiance. It feels pretty fair once you understand how everything works. I'd absolutely play more if it was available.
The graphics are great, the music is great and the atmosphere is great, but there is only one thing that makes this game unenjoyable and that is the fact that you can't save, I died several times while playing for 30 minutes and after a while it gets really boring and infuriating
Hi there. Found this game by accident and ended up loving the aesthetic! I was wondering if you were planning on further language support in the future, as I'm a Spanish speaker and I'd be interested in translating the game's text for you.
sorry for the rude comment, I was having a terrible week and expressed my feedback badly, the game is great and I am hyped to see if there will be new stuff in the future, also love the main character design a lot! I edited my main comment to make it less idiotic.
It was haunting at first, but quickly became tedious and monotonous due to constant new encounters killing me without any forewarning of how to combat them. Normally that would be fine, but without any saves and it not being placed early on at the start, it just gets annoying because I am forced to restart multiple times. It sucks because I really enjoyed the art style, survival elements, and the creepiness of it, but its just not worth all that hassle. Especially when it comes to horror, constantly resetting and redoing the same things completely sucks any fear or tension out of you.
Addendum: I mean this with the utmost respect. Please know that this is still a beautiful looking game with great sounds, easy controls, fun gameplay, and creepy elements. I'm just posting my critique of why these things are overshadowed for me.
If you have not noticed, there is a large and growing speedrun community around your game. In the interest of having the keep growing and shaping, I have a few suggestions.
1: Un-randomize Crow drops in a Randomized way. What I mean by this is that drops right now seem to be random on what and how many. If it keeps like this, the top of the leaderboards and most interesting strategies will be kept behind hundreds of RNG rolls.
My suggestion is use Subnautica's system where the random pickups come from a pool that has to cycle though all the items before getting refreshed. (example): 10 Sticks, 5 Brush, 2 Coins. in this case if the first two drops were coins, 10 sticks and 5 brush would have to drop before seeing any more coins. (example over).
2: Closed Captions. Not only is this a great accessibility feature, but it would also help new speedrunners learn the game.
3: Button remapping. I play on controller and having to press Y, A, and B at the same time to plant and water crops fast is jarring on the hand.
4: Ignoring everything I just said and making the game you enjoy making, because you are obviously good at making it.
Thank you so much! I never thought the game design around speedruns, and it is not my priority to improve it for that area, because as you said, I'm making the game I enjoy making. So, at least for the moment, i won't work on that, but, i really appreciate your comment!
The mix between 3d and 2d is weird, and takes some getting used to but i ended up really liking it. as for the actual style of the game, it is really cute and playful and un-assuming at first.
Everything ties together so well. The crops being so beautiful but having a touch of decay and creepiness, the sound effects happening throughout, the random events that don't actually impact game-play., everything is creepy and mysterious and unknown. I love how to game has both immediate threats and more 'docile until provoked' kind of threats, yet everything seems to want to kill you. You can never take a break and you're always on the edge of your seat. (Also why i think there shouldn't be a save button)
However, it's not nearly as challenging as videos made it out to be. I finished the game my first time playing it, and i only came across 3 different threats and very quickly learnt how to get around said threats. I found that some of them became less creepy/scary after only a couple encounters.
I wish there were modes/levels where (for example) events happen more/less often, crops need more/less water, crops yield more/less money or cost more/less. Maybe you have more lives if on easy mode, maybe there are more steps to escape on hard mode.
(SPOILER: I liked how the deer is always a threat but i wish the clown and crawling guy happened more often. I also wish the music for the crawling guy was shorter and more immediate. Everything became predictable quickly, but i think it would help if the frequency of events was increased as you progress and distance of triggering the deer was further)
Here are some threats and events that i think would fit in well but definitely don't have to be added:
killer bunny that are found feeding on your crops. if you let them eat a crop they are fine and you loose a crop no matter what progress its at, but if you approach them (similarly to the deer) they turn into a killer bunny.
Fake clown #1. A clown that looks a bit different to sad clown and will try to take the balloon from you.
Fake clown #2. A clown that gives you a blue balloon instead of a red one, and if you try to give it to the sad clown, the sad clown kills you.
Disease. A mist that covers a patch of crops and when you walk into it, triggers an immediate event, like the crawling guy or triggers the deer. Also makes the crops not be able to water.
Nightmare. A shadow figure that chases you into the house at night time, but goes away when you approach the bed.
Friends/Family come to save you. They rarely show up at the docks on a boat offering to take you home. If you get on the boat they turn into another creature and kill you.
Rain. waters your crops.
Sun. you need to water your crops more frequently or they will die, and if you don't dispose of dead crop they will catch fire and spread to other crops.
Witch. appears randomly and must make an offering of (say pearls) or she will try and kill you.
Wendigo husband. A bigger and faster version of the normal deer.
Full moon. Some random nights are a full moon where werewolf/s attack you at the start of the night. Some full moons they don't attack and can instead be seen running in the trees
Greed mushrooms. They grow randomly and you can eat and collect a full inventory (max seeds, max water, max lantern fuel) If you eat too many times you die.
Alternative mushroom. You can eat to still collect full inventory but have a rare chance to die.
Vampire fish. If pulled up on the fishing line (rare), renders the fishing line useless for the rest of the game-play (or de-spawns after a bit). If collected, you die.
Calico cat. A cat friend that sits buy the docks. If you give it a fish it will help you by watering your crops slowly over time and slightly decreasing the chance of events triggering.
Black cat. A cat that also sits by the docks but if you don't feed it before you leave, it will come with you back home and unlocks a new ending where it kills you when you escape (maybe your family too)
Dog. The crow drops a bone at some point and a dog spawns by the selling bench. if you feed the dog the bone, it will stay in your house and decrease how fast the bed monster spawns.
I love this game, yeah it could use a "save" option, but still - design, mechanic and the whole idea is so awesome. I adore design of main character, so simple yet so nice and adorable. Hope you like the fanart :D
This game is honestly amazing, It's so rare to find a free-to-play game that's this good. Here is my feedback (only meant as constructive criticism)
In my opinion the clown character needs more time to be found and to give the balloon to. It is also possible for the deer to stay right outside the door standing still while in the eating animation when you're supposed to be finding the clown, this makes it feel a lot more luck-based than skill-based.
I don't think the deer should be allowed to stand still right outside the door, especially during the clown music. I know that you can trigger the deer and then hide in the house, but this feels like it shouldn't be a required thing to survive.
I also think it would be very nice to have easy/normal/hard categories for the game. For example <easy> could be where it takes longer for monsters to attack, the candles last longer, maybe you gain more money from selling crops, and maybe you only need 1 or 2 gears for the boat, that sort of thing.
A way of keeping the deer occupied would also be cool, so imagine if there was a hook on the map that you could hang meat on, meat purchased from the shop. This would keep the deer busy for maybe 20 something seconds? Enough time to safely install the gears to the boat, or to try and find the clown without running into the deer.
Another feature that I really think should be added is rain, that waters the crops. As well as having specific sound options, so if I want to hear the clown music louder, I can specifically toggle that instead of having to change the entire game's audio.
I kept seeing this game on Tiktok Livestreams and was dying to know what game it was, the artstyle is AMAZING! So I looked on Google Lens and found it! Will it get Linux support ever? I really wanna play this on my Steam Deck!

This game is actually quite hard. The deer frequently trapped me in my house which made it hard to survive especially when the candles all went out.
if the deer comes close to your house, maybe you would want to make him waste the monster form to make some distance
how do you make it turn without dieing
ahh i see thats good to know
Thank you everyone for helping!

Hey, yes, I will translate the game in the future, but don't worry about the Spanish, I'm Spanish too!
Pls add a way to rebind keyboard controls, planting on F is awkward, making games focusing on controllers might make PC controls a bit weird
Thanks for your feedback <3

I agree with you, but this is exactly the kind of game I wanted to make, and some people love it, some hate it.
I'm glad you liked the game anyways!
And that's exactly what makes games well known and loved! Making it polarizing instead of middle of the road. So good for you!

Would you ever consider adding a multiplayer aspect to the game? I would love to play this with my husband haha. Love the game so far though!!!
For the moment, I'm not making it.
love it, reminds me of "Only Up" gameplay-wise. No saves and hard af but can't find any mods on it yet, hopefully soon?
bro sees a new lil indie game project
"WHERE MODS, WHERE MODS, GIVE ME MODS"
Also Only Up was not the first game to have the idea of no saves and be hard, better to forget that awful garbage game.
Someone's mad that somebody else has something to say lmao
Thanks! Somebody was working on a Hard difficulty mod

Awesome!
Bilalaika has stated this before, the game is too short for a saving feature. But they’ll definitely add one when the game has more levels!
Thanks for your draw, I really like it! <3

I loved this game , it was very spooky but amazing to play
Thank you so much for playing it :)
You're welcome , I had a lot of fun making the video 😊
Fun game!
Goodjob!
This game is such a cool concept!
Thanks!

I seen a short on YouTube. Want to play. Looks like it could be fun with coop too.
Thank you so much!
