saw a video played (but got scared and quit) and it's one of the best, the art style is 10/10, gameplay is very good but can be tweaked a little also i would love a upgrade called "shed" it's a small building that you can hide in and it,s beside a chosen farm, it costs 500 coins and there is a closet/wardrobe (?) inside but you can't stay inside for too long, just like in the house. also i can talk polish so i can translate the game
I really enjoy the game, but the controls are something I am struggling with. It's really awkward to have to press F to place and interact with things. I suggest, if possible, offer the option for people to change and adjust keys.
The project is very good, the cryptic... it's great, after playing it it made me remember something I saw in a botany book where the more vegetation there is in a garden, the more species of insects there would be and I would find interesting the idea that when planting certain seeds spiders or other types of things appear. The saving also frustrated me after almost finishing the second night, I read several comments and I support the idea of not giving the option to save but if it could be an item I don't know, something like an object that falls at dawn and you have to be aware, the first morning the crow could give you an indication, or you have to buy it, so that it is also part of the challenge. I don't know if it's a bug, but the door sometimes didn't close when I entered the house, otherwise it's incredible. I wish you much success.
The game is just great. The atmosphere kept me in suspense until the last 20 minutes of the passage (the game was completed in 01:15:37, such a time due to the fact that until the last I did not want to finish the passage and improved everything I could, collected a complete fishing collection and collected all the coins and bought all skins.) It can be seen who inspired the author, this is Dont Starve, and in some places this is straight plagiarism. But on the other hand, if not for this style, I would have passed by this game. I recommend everyone to read and play the game. And I'm waiting for new games from the author;)
It needs some good polish on the controls, but I already love the style and concept. Also, it did remind me of Don't Starve, but goes much further on the creepiness, rather than the humor, which I'm honestly glad for.
I'm going to make it for sure, as the game community is getting bigger. But first I'm working in other things. I'll make an announcement when it's done.
I like this game and it's scary and cute but when the clown first appeared he just asked for the balloon and never gave it to me. The first time I fished, the deer blocked my path and I died. The jumpscares are very good, I get scared every time.
I honestly loved the game and the art style is simply amazing, when i first looked for it i was surprised it was not on steam, this is such an incredible game. There's a few changes i feel would fit the game good though.
First of all, it's very unpleasant to get to the first night and just be killed by the clown, so maybe nerfing it would help a little.
I also laughed hard when i heart the sound the skin monster (forgot his name) makes when he leaves, it does fit well but for someone who's used to hearing that hell's kitchen sound effect in memes, it takes away some of the horror aspect of it.
Let me totally, for sure, be the first to say that this game would be perfect with multiplayer, just imagining this with friends makes me go YES. I know implementing multiplayer is very hard, but who knows, i heard the documentation of steam's multiplayer API is very good.
Would also be cool to constantly be unlocking new content, i like the way the monsters are presented, but the game can get a little repetitive after some time, i've read some other review and i saw other people already suggested this so i'll just be repeating and say that the addition of more daytime content would fit very well.
One thing that annoyed me a lot is that in one of my playthroughs that dark monster appeared while the deer was on my door, so either way i proceeded i would die. That might even happen with other monster combinations so please take a look at that. Really most times i died is because i got a combination of monsters that i couldn't escape from so if that was fixed or just had a smaller chance of happening would be perfect.
I'll probably come again to send some more feedback, keep up the good work, the game looks awesome!
Thank you so much for all your feedback, it really helps. I have to say that, if you have a deathly 2 monster combo, is because you made a really bad move, as all the monster have timers and conditions so they can't really mess you up by rng. If the deer gets on your door, you can trigger him and hide quickly, he will run away. Thank you again for the rest of the useful feedback you have given me :)
Extract the compressed file onto wherever is fitting for you, let's just say Desktop for explanation's sake. Once you have extracted it onto your desktop, click the folder open, and click on "Pumpkin Panic". I am not sure how you would see it, but it is an application type (.exe). The application should run once you have completed these steps.
Firstly, I want to commend you on creating a good game. Well done! However, I would like to address the performance issue, which needs improvement. On the other hand, I must say that the concept of the game is excellent. To enhance the overall experience, consider incorporating a captivating storyline and increasing the interaction with the raven through additional dialogues. While the enemies are currently quite basic, it would greatly benefit the gameplay if you introduce effective strategies on countering them.
I wish the developers the best of luck and success in their future endeavors.
i think that it is already big enough, all my friends that played this game love to talk about it, there is also multiple gameplay videos and even some speedruns. if you add a discord link as part of the game page/update post there should be enough people who would like to join
This is so repetitive it would be great with a somewhat cryptic story like notes in paper telling the story of the last farmer and then a key and map to find where he was murdered.
this is the only horror-type game i have, and probably will ever have. i really really don't like horror games, but the cutesy art mixed with the unknown of what's next all while trying to farm has me hooked! i've barely made it past day one, since i get scared easily, but i cant wait to see whats next!
additionally, it would be awesome if there were weather events that could bring both useful resources but also different monsters too. moon phases impacting gameplay that either can brighten or dim the night gameplay could be interesting too, bringing different monsters depending if its the brightest/darkest night!
as for new levels, different types of farming is what id like to see. like farming in marshes or flooded lands, working with/in the water. this might be a stretch, but maybe even caring for livestock, defending your goats from a Chupacabra!
Thanks for playing! Don't worry about the new levels, I'm making sure that the gameplay feels different than the first level. With new mechanics and puzzles.
So, I love this game. But I have to say the clown is extremely annoying and has stopped me all but once from making it past the first day. I can almost always find the balloon clown, but I can NEVER find the sad one. The music always sounds the same distance, it's TOO dark to see even with the lantern. I'm all for a challenge. But its extremely frustrating having to repeat the intro so often. EDIT: I made it past the first night using headphones, the unfortunate part is a deer got me. I have 0 idea on how their detection works. Sometimes I'm behind a fence far away and they change and come sprinting at me. Other times I'm 3 feet away and they don't care lol I also noticed there was a lantern upgrade which may fix my vision problem. I will let you know with an update. EDIT: I have beat the game. HEADPHONES ARE A MUST if you want to find the clown. Everything else was easy peasy.
Thank you so much for your feeback. Yes, headphones are really important, or at least a good speaker setup. Thank you so much for keep playing despite all the problems. I'm glad you liked the game so much :)
I had a couple issues with performance though I'm pretty sure that was on my end more then anything,
What are the fish plaques for inside the house? One of them had a small cutscene near the end of my run and I was really scared cause I thought I had a time limit.
I'm also really confused about the monster in the well but I'm sure I'll figure it out
I saw a few videos about this game, i would love to see this on console someday. I can see myself playing this at night with the lights of on my Playstation.
Didn't manage to finish it yet (mostly because this fricking clown, if you could make him a little bit easier I would be really glad) but it's very good from what I've played, the fear of literally everything in this game makes it very good.
I would suggest (like a lot of people here) some sort of multiplayer, it would feel kinda like Don't Starve Together but I think it would be cool.
Thank you for this awesome game (and for the controller support lol, it really makes the game more fun)
at first I also wanted a save feature since it is a bit bummy losing all your progress but I think that would make the game a bit easy and less scary ! I am starting to like the challenge of trying to figure out what and what doesn’t work ! If you did add a save feature I’d suggest making it a physical item in the game like to buy maybe or somewhere you must walk to if you really want to save to keep that challenge and fear ! Love the game !!!
I completely agree. I'm planning something so that you don't lose so much progress when dying, without necessarily having to save the game. Thank you for your feedback!
Love this game! It's so fun, I love the skinwalkers, i haven't yet seen a deer/wendigo because i can't get past day one (no problem with the game, I'm just horrified of the dark) but I 100% recommend this game to anyone who is even considering it, this is so well made
the animation, art style, game play, its all amazing. just in love with this game so far
The game was really fun to play, I am very much accustomed to trial and error. Death is very welcoming in my eyes, starting from scratch, and trying a different method is quite fun. I understand some reviews/comments suggested some type of defense against the horrors you face, but I am against it. Being wary of the dangers around you constantly is refreshing. Not knowing whether or not you're safe in certain situations makes it that much more exciting in my eyes. Respite that can easily be changed in a moment's notice.
My qualms in the game:
- farming/fishing. It is fun at first, but I feel it has the same problem as generators as Dead by Daylight if you are familiar with that. I understand that farming is a main aspect of this game, but potentially making the farming more interactable, or adding extra incentives based on the type of plant you are trying to grow. In dead by daylight, a main problem many have with the game is that the survivors need to complete generators while surviving in order to escape. This action of repairing a generator involves just holding down a singular button for 90 seconds. This is the most optimal way to play if allowed. In this game, I held square and X together, and just ran around. Having the main portion of the game - the farming - being more interactable or different each run similar to a roguelike would make the game more refreshing each play through. I am not sure what your vision for the game is, but it is an idea.
- Collecting various things around the area is nice, but having only two uses for them became monotone. Perhaps adding more day time content such as a wandering trader that can benefit the player, but also tear them down just as easy if you were to use it.
- As mentioned previously, day time felt very relaxing, and safe. Adding more day time content, horrors or not, would be fun. Although I understand the game is new, it takes time to create content, and such. I am speaking relative to night. Night time feels like you have many things going on at once, day time feels extremely lax in comparison. Maybe having plant type monsters while farming can appear. It would somewhat aid the first point I mentioned as well as adding more day time content.
- Some of the horrors you face, I understand they are supposed to be scary, which they are. But I feel that a few of the horrors you face are out of place in terms of artwork. The game is beautiful, really well done actually. The first horror you face, the more I look at it, the more I feel like it belongs in a different game based off of artstyle.
Overall, the game was really fun, and most definitely worth the 1-2 hours invested depending on how many times you died. I tested all the types of deaths, what you can and can't do throughout the game - 2 hours total playtime in my case.
These are all my opinions, I am in no way a developer, I just play games. Please take them with a grain of salt. You did an amazing job. I look forward to how this game develops.
Thank you very much for all the feedback, and for taking the time to write such a long and detailed review, with so many ideas and examples. It really helps me a lot to improve the game.
I got my friend to play this without giving them full details and it was great to watch them scream
after they decided to call it ggs and closed the game for now i thought of some stuff for the game, specifically more cryptids. since there are already skincrawlers and wendigos in the game why not add another iconic one? first one to come to mind was sirenhead. hearing a tornado siren then faint but enormous footsteps. you go inside and wait for him to walk past your farm. if you get caught outside while he is passing by he picks you up and takes you offscreen with some either loud speaker screaming or classical music with a static from the sirens
Saw a thing about the game on instagram and decided to check it out. Was not disappointed. Very neat little game that I hope will get bigger. My only complaint was 'F' being the action button instead of 'E' but I eventually switched to controller and had a blast finishing the game
The game was so creepy cute! I love it, I just wish there was a way to save progress. It sucks to have to restart the process over and over. I get the aspect of having to survive but it takes away from enjoying the dying part. lol I wouldn't mind having to grind more when it comes to crops and upgrading if saving progress was added. The art is amazingly well done, it's refreshing to see a game like this.
I played the game and loved it (even though I cant get pass night 1 lmao) I love the style its such a refreshing style and is a one of a kind game which is hard to create these days. However, I wish there was a way to get more stamina and/or a way to fortify the farm in some sort of way. I’m very excited to see what comes out of this it it so fun and amazing.
I beat it while my friend played next to me (he beat it first) and we had so much fun. He dislike farmers games but loved this. This game also made me scream like a little girl. No game has made me scream that loud. My favorite part was I went to get us some drinks in the garage and as I walked out I heard him say “Oh cool a deer” I laughed so hard. I’m kinda sad I beat cause now I get to wait for the next update but I’m so excited to see what happens next.
I finally succeeded to play this last night, and it was just as fun as I thought it would be! The only complaint I have is that I think it's kinda annoying that the deer never leaves, it would be nicer if it could go away sometimes just like the other mobs, because it kinda takes the relaxing side of the game away due to having to be on guard due to the deer all the time. But otherwise, I like this game a lot and you did a really great work! The artstyle is awesome too, can't wait for the future updates
I absolutely ADORE this game, I would donate if I could! My only issue is that sometimes the crow at the start, during the tutorial, can skip what they are saying without warning.
For example: on my first playthrough they said (in summary), "You can water your crops using" and then moved onto the next set of information, causing me to spend valuable time pressing keys as I attempted to find out how to water my crops.
On another playthrough, however this did not affect my gameplay as I already knew the controls by then, they skipped the keybind for taking out your lantern.
I don't know how you would stop the dialogue from skipping, however I think it would be helpful to display the keybinds in the OPTIONS section, and perhaps have them be changeable for those who would prefer different keybinds
Thank you for reading, I'm excited to see where you go with this game <3
I'm confused. The text was cut off before finishing displaying? I haven't seen anyone with a similar problem.Could you give me some more information? Did you do something like, pause, minimize the game or something similar while the texts were appearing?
Yes, the crow stopped before the sentence ended, it stayed like that for a moment (I assume it was the time that the rest would have been typed out, or it was giving me time to read) before going to the next bit of information. I didn't press anything, buttons or mouse, while the crow was talking, so I know that it definitely isn't me — my character was stood still and I was focused on what was being said.
For my other playthroughs I cannot confirm nor deny that my button pressing is causing the crow to skip parts of their dialogue, but it doesn't seem to be on particular messages as I've seen it happen with different ones almost each time (when I'm paying attention, that is, as I'm farming while the crow talks).
Just started playing love this game the graphics are adorable keep getting surprised with new ... guests on the farm. It is so fun to play truly a brilliant game!!!
Very good, really has potential if you decide to expand it and push it to steam, adding new features and maybe co-op.
Just one thing that i don't know if it was intentional, when you press SHIFT, the whole stamina bar goes to zero, even if you stay still after you press it, i think it would be better to only drain stamina if you run, and penalize you if the stamina goes to 0, not allowing you to run untill it regens again fully. It would allow the players some stamina management.
For additional content, if you decide to expand the game, there's a lot of things you could add as im sure you're aware, cosmetics, pets, characters(with different abilities maybe?), additional monsters, difficulty settings... and the list goes on. As i said before, a LOT of potential.
Also, i unfortunately cant help you with financial support, but if you ever need help with translation to PT-BR,Brazillian Portuguese, i'd be glad to help!
Thank you so much for your words! Yes, the stamina bar is intended to work like that. I know it's a little weird, but it lets the player decide when it's worth running, knowing that they won't be able to run again for a while. It's like a dash, it will make more sense with the new monsters I'm designing for the new level.

saw a video played (but got scared and quit) and it's one of the best, the art style is 10/10, gameplay is very good but can be tweaked a little also i would love a upgrade called "shed" it's a small building that you can hide in and it,s beside a chosen farm, it costs 500 coins and there is a closet/wardrobe (?) inside but you can't stay inside for too long, just like in the house. also i can talk polish so i can translate the game
Thank you so much for your feedback! The shed is a good idea :)
RUN🤡
FOLLOW MY SONG🤡Ah I love the game soo much and need more now!! :D
Thank you so much for playing it! I'm glad you liked it :)
I really enjoy the game, but the controls are something I am struggling with. It's really awkward to have to press F to place and interact with things. I suggest, if possible, offer the option for people to change and adjust keys.
Many games use F to interact, but yes, I need to put a rebind option for sure.

Thank you so much! I like the idea of making new things appear once you planed a new crop.
Cool, loved it! 🎃
How do I deal with the Clown, they keep busting down my door like the cool aid man.
When you hear the music, you got to find him.
How can i get rid of the deer? It's been haunting me a lot
You can't. Just avoid him and don't get close.
Thank you so much for playing it that much! I'm so glad! Goodjob collecting everything and upgrading all to the max!
;)
It needs some good polish on the controls, but I already love the style and concept.
Also, it did remind me of Don't Starve, but goes much further on the creepiness, rather than the humor, which I'm honestly glad for.
Thank you so much!!
I have a Question, can we The Commiunity have a Discord Server
where we will be informed about new updates and bug fixes. (Thank you for making this Cool game)
I'm going to make it for sure, as the game community is getting bigger. But first I'm working in other things. I'll make an announcement when it's done.

Thank you! You need to find the balloon first to give it to the blue clown.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I'm looking on to add a graphics option so people with lower end computers can play too.
I really like it. Have you considered making a discord server for this game?
Yes I've thinked about it. Maybe for the future when the game is bigger.

I'm expanding the game with new levels that feel different to play.
I was shown the game on live and I LOVED IT art is wonderful and the sound effects are perfect.
game with simple and wonderful idea.

You are so evil with your friend hahaha. The Sirenhead idea seems cool. I'll think about how to implement something similar for the new levels.
Saw a thing about the game on instagram and decided to check it out. Was not disappointed. Very neat little game that I hope will get bigger. My only complaint was 'F' being the action button instead of 'E' but I eventually switched to controller and had a blast finishing the game
Thanks for you feedback, goodjob completing the game!
kool game
Thanks!
Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm planning something to improve the experience and not lose as much progress when dying.
Thank you very much for your words, It makes me very happy that you think that. Thanks for your feedback too.
Hahahah, that was a certified deer moment
The game and art style is really nice and it plays well. Keep it up devs. I would also suggest putting this game out on steam.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont
Thank you so much for your gameplay, I really loved it! Goodjob!
Thank you so much for your feedback. I will consider your comment for future versions.
I love the game ,i'll donate a bit in the morning when i can see my card cant wait for the next update
barelly survived the first night so dont spoil anything lol
I really appreciate your support, it helps me a lot to continue development :)
Thank you so much for your feedback.
THIS GAME IS SO COOL!!!!!!
Thanks a lot :)
Just started playing love this game the graphics are adorable keep getting surprised with new ... guests on the farm. It is so fun to play truly a brilliant game!!!
I'm really glad you liked it so much! :)
It might make more sense if you just visually redesigned how the stamina information is displayed. fwiw.
